The helmet design in use during at least the 1990 and 1991 seasons has been described to me as consisting of a burgundy shell with a white faceguard, and with the team name "Scots" on the sides in a cursive style; but a contradictory report indicated that the helmets used from 1989 through 1992 were "cardinal" in color, with "Scots" in "block"-style letters. No photographs were provided to accompany either of these reports.

A couple of other interesting historical IUP helmets are visible in the photographs below:
The 1965 helmet had a white shell and a logo that appears to be either a "leaf" or a "feather". I have located no color photographs of this design but the logo was presumably some shade of red in color.
From 1983 through 1986 IUP used silver helmets with a logo depicting an Indian riding a horse and holding a spear or similar weapon. The color of the logo is again unknown, but is probably black and/or crimson. I would greatly appreciate a copy of the artwork for this logo.
The team nickname was "Indians" prior to the 2007 season, and the school name was Indiana State College until 1965.

In 2009 Lock Haven used to white helmets with "wing" logos on the sides (photo below). The decals appear to be similar to ones used by other teams in recent years, though with some slight differences - in particular, the "wings" appear to be longer. I would appreciate a copy of one of these wing decals. A much larger and clearer photograph would also be helpful.
*1 The 2014 Lock Haven helmet design used the "LHU" logo on its left side only; the right side featured a large "eagle head" logo (as shown below). In subsequent years the size of the eagle head logo was greatly diminished.
