Averett used a new helmet logo in 2023 - the team name "Cougars" in a script style (photograph below). I have been unable to locate the artwork for this new logo, which I will need in order to add this one to the website.

*1 This helmet design was used in 2005 on September 3 at Ferrum, Sept. 10 vs Methodist, and Sept. 17 vs Averett, with a switch to the next helmet design made on Sept. 24 vs Hampden-Sydney.
*2 This design has uniform numerals on its left side only; a "G" logo is present on the right side (as shown below).
*3 The "G" logo is worn on the left side only; on the right side are crimson uniform numerals (like those on the left side of the previous design). During the two "spring 2021" games (of four played) for which photographs have been located the "G" logo was worn on both sides.
*4 This design was apparently used during at least two games in 2021 - September 18 at Washington & Lee, and September 25 vs Hampden-Sydney. Guilford's next game was a loss by forfeit to Newport News Apprentice School (the game was not played), and the previous helmet design (with "G" logo on both sides) was again in use during the following game (October 9 vs Shenandoah) and during all subsequent games for which photographs could be located.. No photographs or video have been located from Guilford's first game of the 2021 season (September 4 vs Greensboro). The "quaker" logo is present on the left side only of this design; on the right side is the same "G" logo worn on the previous design.

*2 For four games in 2017 Shenandoah used white helmets with the number 18 on the left side of each, in recognition of the football team's 18th year; a similar design with the numbers incremented appropriately was used during the years 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023. On each of these designs the numbers are worn on the left side only; on the right side is the team nickname 'Hornets' (as shown below).
