Three earlier historical helmets have been described as follows: c.1970s: purple helmet with yellow facemask and a white "A" decal; c.1980s: yellow shell with purple facemask, purple "A" with white outline, and white-purple-white central stripes, the middle one being wider than the others; ? - 1988: yellow helmet, white facemask, purple stripe, and a logo consisting of the team name "BRITONS" in purple letters.

No photographs were located from game #4 (vs Benedictine (IL)). The last design was presumably used through the end of the season, but no confirming photographs were located for games #8 and #9 (vs Trine and vs Adrian).
*2 This design was used during at least three of Kalamazoo's last four games in 2018 (no photographs were located for the October 27 game at Olivet). Uniform numerals are worn on the left side only of this design; on the right side is the same "K"/"hornet" logo which was worn on both sides of the helmets earlier in 2018.

Olivet apparently used a special helmet decal with an "American flag" theme during the first game of 2015; I would appreciate a copy of the logo used during this game (September 5 vs Earlham).
The logo on the 2001 Olivet helmet has been described as "similar to the Tennessee Titans with an OC on it"; I would appreciate a photograph of this one.
