Comments

Hope is using a new helmet design in 2012 (shown above).

Adrian was using a new helmet design in 2011. The helmets remained black but had a new logo (see photo below); I will need to get a copy of this new "AC" logo in order to add this helmet to the web site. This design is apparently still being used in 2012.

Historical Helmets

ADRIAN

? - 1999 2000 - 2004 2005 - 2009
2010 2011 -

From ? to 1996, Adrian was using a yellow paw print (a la Clemson) on its helmets (photographs of this one would be appreciated).

ALBION

1989 - c.1992 c.1993 -

Three earlier historical helmets have been described thusly: c.1970s: purple helmet with yellow facemask and a white "A" decal; c.1980s: yellow shell with purple facemask, purple "A" with white outline, and white-purple-white central stripes, the middle one being wider than the others; ? - 1988: yellow helmet, white facemask, purple stripe, and a logo consisting of the team name "BRITONS" in purple letters.

ALMA

? - present

The logo on Alma's current helmet design has actually been worn only on the right sides of the helmet for (apparently) several years. I have never received any information as to earlier helmet designs used by the team.

HOPE

1956 - 1960; 1968; 1980 1986 - 2011 2012 -
*see note 1 below

*1 From 1986 through 1994 the oval "H" logo was worn only on the left sides of the helmets; it has been used on both sides since 1995.

KALAMAZOO

? - 1999? 2000? - present

Kalamazoo is reported to have begun using black helmets in 1991. Prior to then, the team used orange helmets with a "K" logo; the "K" was white with a black outline.

OLIVET

? - 1999 2000 2001
2002 - 2004 2005 - 2006 2007 - 2010
2011 -

The logo on the 2001 Olivet helmet has been described as "similar to the Tennessee Titans with an OC on it"; I would appreciate a photograph of this one.

TRINE (was Tri-State University prior to August 1, 2008)

1995 - 2000 2001 - 2003 2004 - 2005
2006 - 2007 2008 -
