A new helmet design is being used in 2008 by Simpson; below is the only photograph that I have yet received of the new helmet. It had been reported to me that the helmet logo on the 2008 helmet would be similar to the one used by the team in 2007 but without the black "shadow" around the yellow letters, but this photograph would appear to imply that the logo is more substantially different - the letters appear to be "skinnier" and considerably different in shape. I would appreciate a better photograph of the new helmet design, as well as a copy of the helmet logo for the Simpson helmet.

Otherwise, no new helmets have been reported for the IIAC in 2008.

Dubuque's 2000 season helmet design was similar to the 1998-1999 one shown above, but had a black outline around the letters and no central stripes.

An earlier helmet design (c.late 1970s/early 1980s) has been described as being similar to the 1997 helmet shown above, with the addition of a white "USC Trojan" logo.
