*1 In 2014 Franklin used a special helmet decal in recognition of former team member Nick Schultz, a law enforcement officer who was killed in the line of duty in September 2014. The decal featured a shield containing Schultz's name, his football uniform number 79, and smaller numerals "365" at the bottom of the shield. This decal was worn only on the left side of each helmet, with the usual "F"/shield logo worn on the right sides, and was apparently used for most of the 2014 season.
