Comments
Bethune-Cookman began the 2009 season with "blank" helmets, but had added a new helmet logo by at least late September (see photo below). I would greatly appreciate a copy of the helmet logo for this helmet.
Norfolk State has added a logo to its helmets in 2009. Below is the clearest photo I have received of the new design - please note that the logo worn on the helmet is somewhat different from the logo that many people have sent me (look closely at the top of the two "spartan helmets" within the logo on the football helmet).
Morgan State played at least its first game of the 2009 season (September 12 at Akron) with "blank" helmets, but had added helmet decals by at least game #3 (September 26 vs Towson).
I received very little information for the other teams in the MEAC in 2008, and it would come as a surprise to me to learn that there were other new helmet designs in use that were never reported - even though this is a Division I conference.

I have never received any information about earlier helmet designs for this team - any information would be appreciated. I believe that DSU had used the first design shown above for many years - the artwork on the cover of the team's 1983 media guide shows a similar design. Around 1980, the team was apparently using red helmets with white facemasks and with a white/light blue/white stripe sequence.

I received a report in 2005 of a possible change for this team since the 2004 season; specifically it was suggested that the middle stripe on the helmets may have been made a darker color. I would appreciate some clear photographs from 2004 or earlier to compare with ones from the 2005 season.

Below is a photograph of an interesting WSSU helmet dating from perhaps the mid-1990s. I had received a copy of the logo for this helmet at one time, but I lost it during a hard drive crash, so I would appreciate it if the person who sent it could please send it again. I will also need a photograph showing the stripe sequence (if any) used on this helmet.
