Lyon College, previously a member of the NAIA Sooner Athletic Conference, will compete as an NCAA Division III independent team in 2023.

Hilbert College played its first season of football in 2022. The team will remain an independent in 2023 but will join the Empire 8 Conference as an affiliate member for football in 2024.

This team played its first season of football in 2015.
