The Horned Frogs may have missed out on the playoffs in 2014, but they won't be sold short heading into their follow-up national championship push. Ten starters get welcomed back to the nation's fourth ranked offense including star performer Trevone Boykin behind center. Some adjustments will be required on the defensive side especially at linebacker where All-American Paul Dawson moves on. Head coach Gary Patterson just received a nice contract extension while being named Coach of The Year by his fellow coaching peers. Patterson knows how to get this defense in gear. TCU will be at the top of most every preseason poll. Boykin, the chip-on-the-shoulder factor, along with so many offensive weapons, gives TCU an edge. With some luck maybe the Big 12 can figure out a way to get a conference championship game in place. That may not matter this time around.The Frogs were just four points away from an undefeated season in 2014. They won't forget how that felt and have a great chance to close the deal this year.
