All eyes are on Gainesville as new head coach Jim McElwain takes over. Things just haven't been the same since that Sugar Bowl loss to Louisville two seasons ago. The Gator offense has been dismal trying to pound a round peg through a square hole, all the more reason why the Gators have a new coach. There is way too much Sunshine State talent in this program to keep UF down with the right coach. Bottom line: Florida has to rediscover the passing game, that's what great teams from this state do. Athletic Treon Harris took over at quarterback but has not shown an ability to beat teams with his arm. Jeff Driskel tranferred out and now Will Grier grabbed starting duties in the spring. Certainly however, the receivers are more than capable if given the chance. On the other side, the new coaching staff should not lose site of what this defense has accomplished. With seven starters coming back, led by two-time All-American Vernon Hargreaves, defense shouldn't be an issue.
