In
the last seven seasons, only
once did Boise State finish
with more than two losses. It
wasn't long ago that Boise State
was considered an every year
party crasher to the BCS system.
Now that system is gone, but
Boise State still remains the
same party crasher. 2015 is
poised to be the best season
in Boise since a 12-1 season
in 2011. With 17 starters coming
back and a defense with four
All-Conference selections, Boise
State is primed for an undefeated
run. Looking at the schedule,
there is no reason to believe
otherwise. The strength of the
schedule is not enough to make
this Boise State team the playoff
party crasher, but it's enough
to put them into yet another
controversial discussion on
the topic and where teams not
in a Power 5 conference fit.
The three biggest holes will
be at quarterback where upwards
of four players have been named
as potential replacements for
the departed Grant Hedrick,
at running back where All-American
Jay Ajayi took his talents early
to the NFL and at kicker. The
rest looks solid. |
