might be the war

Receiver |
Locating
receivers has not
been a problem in
Boise. Although
losing proven veterans
like Austin Pettis
and Titus Young
is going to sting.
Moore will have
to locate some new
playmakers running
routes. |

DEPTH CHARTS were only designed
as a simplistic gauge for listing
players that departed and players
that received the most playing
experience (consistent starters).
NationalChamps.net recognizes
the importance of missing personnel
data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming
recruits, back ups and alternates.
Their coverage will begin with
our full 2011 Preseason Preview
due out this coming spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS |
12/18/10
Boise State is as Boise State
does. Chris Petersen is 71-6
as the Bronco's head coach for
a reason. Anyone that believes
Boise State won't be the same
typical mid-major program pushing
for undefeated BCS bowl status
just because they had a letdown
in Reno this past Thanksgiving
weekend would be severely mistaken.
Quarterback Kellen Moore will
finally be a senior in his fourth
year of starting. This fact
alone will be good enough to
place the Broncos somewhere
near the top of the preseason
projections. While some big
name talent will be leaving,
plenty more is still sticking
around. This won't be an all-passing
situation where Moore has to
carry the load either. All-WAC
running back Doug Martin is
a powerful threat out of the
backfield and coaches have had
little problem locating receivers
to fit this scheme. What put
Boise State over the top recently
has been a fierce, aggressive
defense. Depth and experience
is plentiful on this side of
the ball once again. In fact,
it could supplant the offense
as the strength of the program.
The Broncos make their move
in 2011 to the new Mountain
West Conference. While TCU is
now part of the regular season
schedule for one more year (TCU
moves to the Big East in 2012),
Boise State still has the difficulty
of overcoming the "weak
schedule" argument despite
the fact they landed Georgia
in the opener much like they
did this year with Virginia
Tech. Does it really matter
to a public that refuses to
give this team their fair slice
of the proverbial pie? What
more can Boise State do in this
situation? Just win, and win
they shall continue to do...no
question about it. This is another
11-win ball club.
