QUICK ANALYSIS

For the first time in quite a while, a Kirk Ferentz team underachieved in 2006. QB Drew Tate, after promising campaigns the two years prior, never lived up to the expectations as a senior. They will start fresh at QB in ‘07. Too much talent abounds on both sides of the ball for this team to carry over this past .500 campaign. Seemingly, this team fares better as an underdog when they drop off the Top 10 radar screen. If this is the case, do not be surprised if Iowa fights their way back into a winning season and a say in who wins the Big Ten.
