* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players
that received the most playing experience (consistent
starters). NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance
of missing personnel data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming recruits, back ups
and alternates. Their coverage will begin with our
full 2007 Preseason Preview due out this coming
spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS |
Colt
Brennan for Heisman! We can hear the advertising
wheels in motion. For those living on the
mainland, Brennan threw 53 TD passes this
past regular season. Ho hum… didn't
previous QB Timmy Chang break the All-Time
NCAA passing yardage record just 12 months
ago? The answer is yes, which translates
into the fact that passing success on the
islands does have something to do with coach
June Jones' system. Four-receiver sets as
a base formation about sums it up. Brennan
is also legit as a runner. He will lose
some of his key offensive cohorts and a
new RB will have to be located. Still, expect
so many teams to cross the Pacific waters
and come back embarrassed. A Top 25 start
may be asking a little much. However, this
team is better than some of the ones from
which Chang operated. June Jones is a good
football coach, and defensive coordinator
Jerry Glanville provides a solid enough
defense for Hawai’i to challenge Boise
for the conference crown.
