* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players
that received the most playing experience (consistent
starters). NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance
of missing personnel data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming recruits, back ups
and alternates. Their coverage will begin with our
full 2007 Preseason Preview due out this coming
spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS |
Most
feel it's unlikely WR Calvin Johnson will
return for his final season as he opts to
leave early for the NFL. The Yellow Jackets
won the ACC Coastal Division in 2006; much
of that had to do with a steady defense.
This is going to be a gritty opponent to
contend with once again since most of the
defensive personnel return. Reggie Ball
has been the starting QB for four years,
so the Jackets will need to redefine an
offensive identity to some degree…as
in find someone to hurl the rock. Do not
write this team off - they will be favored
(with Virginia Tech) to once again reach
the ACC Championship Game.
