QUICK ANALYSIS

So the MAC gets two teams into the preseason Top 25? Yes, they have earned it. With that said, Toledo likely represents the next MAC team in line (after Miami OH) as gunner Bruce Gradkowski returns to call the signals from his QB position after throwing for over 3700 yards in just his sophomore year. His receivers remain in tact, as well. But there is plenty more to be excited about for the Rockets. A great RB in 1000-yard rusher Trinity Dawson returns, as does a wide array of mid-major All-American candidates. Toledo placed six players on the All-MAC 2003 team, and four of those players return. TE Andrew Clarke and OT Nick Kaczur represent two future NFL picks, and the defense, led by Brock Dodrill, should add just enough fuel to send these Rockets into Mid-American orbit.
