QUICK ANALYSIS

If offense wins championships, Joe Tiller's group is sure to be at the top come next fall. Kyle Orton returns for his senior signal-calling campaign. Once again, he has a fairly decent staple of receivers at his side, led by the remarkable Taylor Stubblefield. He will also have an experienced OL - four out of five starters return. Purdue was also able to find a semblance of a running attack with young Jerod Void carrying the pigskin out of the usual one-back set, and that bodes well for balance next season. What will hold the Boilermakers back is their major loss of defensive personnel. Purdue's front-seven in 2003 was as good as any in the Big Ten. They must now deal with the fact that most every key player will depart. It just may be possible to see Purdue go back to the days of winning games 45-41 once again.
