* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players
that received the most playing experience (consistent
starters). NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance
of missing personnel data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming recruits, back ups,
and alternates. Their coverage will begin with our
full 2003 Preseason Preview due out this coming
spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS
|
November
28, 2003 - Yes, most fans are aware
of the Texas high ranking/lower finish
status. Coach Mack Brown just can't seem
to win the big game. With his top rated
recruiting classes and 16 returning starters,
their high ranking just cannot be denied.
QB Chris Simms started most Longhorn conversations
this past year. He'll be gone now. Watch
out for a kid named Vince Young. This
top rated QB out of high school won just
about every accolade possible. Cedric
Benson is still running with the pigskin.
It seems like only yesterday we were talking
about the great freshman receiving sensation
of Roy Williams and B.J. Johnson. They
have grown up to become leading seniors.
Talent is just bursting everywhere, so
the pressure will continue to mount for
Texas to prove they belong.
