* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players
that received the most playing experience (consistent
starters). NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance
of missing personnel data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming recruits, back ups,
and alternates. Their coverage will begin with our
full 2003 Preseason Preview due out this coming
spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS
|
November
28, 2003 - When you start talking
about 11 offensive starters back from
a team that is bound for the title game
in Tempe, people start to notice. The
slew of running backs remains in place.
While young Maurice Clarett may have been
knocking on the Heisman door in 2002,
this time around he may blow the door
open. Super two-way star Chris Gamble
is a true sophomore, meaning he will be
back. The offensive line will combine
with those running backs, a set of receivers
(NationalChamps.net top 5 units for 2002
preseason), and the senior leadership
of QB Craig Krenzel, to place this team
as the favorite to conquer the Big Ten
and take another shot at all the marbles.
Coach Jim Tressel has recruited well since
his arrival. The defense has just enough
talented starters to mix in with the new.
These are very exciting times to be a
Buckeye fan. The Horseshoe in Columbus
may never be the same.
