QUICK ANALYSIS

November 28, 2003 - Michigan will be a very good ball club. They have the right balance of starters coming back and an experienced senior QB (who in the long run should play on the next level, as do many of the Wolverine QB greats). John Navarre is a solid player who just doesn't seem to garner much respect from the Big Blue fans. What else is new in Ann Arbor? After huge concerns abounded concerning the tailback position to start the season, Chris Perry turned into a pleasant surprise. He is going to need help from somewhere -- big FB B.J. Askew moves on. The running back spot will still continue to be a question mark, but the hogs up front will make life much easier. This is a good group of linemen, all in their junior and senior years. Their great defensive front will bring back some extremely tough nose guys (Bowman, Stevens, Orr, and Diggs). These are all seniors. If the secondary can improve, Michigan has a great shot at challenging rival Ohio State for the Big 10 title. The Wolverines are Top 10 material for sure.
