* DEPTH CHARTS were only designed as a simplistic
gauge for listing players that departed and players
that received the most playing experience (consistent
starters). NationalChamps.net recognizes the importance
of missing personnel data not listed such as redshirts,
transfers, injuries, incoming recruits, back ups,
and alternates. Their coverage will begin with our
full 2003 Preseason Preview due out this coming
spring. |

QUICK
ANALYSIS
|
November
28, 2003 - Kansas State is a team
that over the last few seasons has headed
into the preseason with serious losses
due to graduation. These Cats still manage
to prove everyone wrong. Not again this
time, Bill Snyder's team has way more
than enough experienced talent coming
back. Darren Sproles should be the top
rated running back coming out of the Big
12 North (if Colorado's Chris Brown heads
to the NFL). QB Ell Roberson gives the
Wildcats even more athleticism in the
backfield. It never seems to matter who
plays on the defensive side, this group
just gets after people. The three wise
men at linebacker become rock steady seniors.
This unit has just crushed people to close
out 2002. Other teams have more starters
back, but we have seen Kansas State do
almost as well with far less talent. This
will be your favorite for the Big 12 North
and that says plenty on a national level.
So that alone should say Top 10, no problem.
