Todd
Helmick is a 1989 graduate of Florida State University.
He played football at FSU under Head Coach Bobby Bowden
from 1986-88 (yes, that was the Deion era). His segment
coach was Chuck Amato. "I was lucky enough to be
at FSU when the great run got started while learning
from big names in the coaching business such as Amato,
Mickey Andrews, Brad Scott, Skip Holtz, and Mark Richt.
I think I drove them absolutely nuts with question after
question."
Born on June 6, 1967 - Cumberland, MD
A captain for his high school football team (Fort Hill
H.S.)...helped lead the team into the Maryland State
Playoffs before being defeated in the semifinals. Todd
headed off to Tallahassee for an education. He returned
to Cumberland in 1990 and received a Computer Programming
Certification from Allegany College. (a.k.a. NationalChamps.net).
He later moved on to reside in Pittsburgh, PA for three
years while working for the Pittsburgh Pirates Administration.
"The baseball strike of 1994 was my last straw."
Moved south towards the College Park/Baltimore area
and currently resides in Baltimore. NationalChamps.net
was founded in 1999.
