Todd Helmick is a 1989 graduate of Florida State University. He played football at FSU under Head Coach Bobby Bowden from 1986-88 (yes, that was the Deion era). His segment coach was Chuck Amato. "I was lucky enough to be at FSU when the great run got started while learning from big names in the coaching business such as Amato, Mickey Andrews, Brad Scott, Skip Holtz, and Mark Richt. I think I drove them absolutely nuts with question after question."

Born on June 6, 1967 - Cumberland, MD
A captain for his high school football team (Fort Hill H.S.)...helped lead the team into the Maryland State Playoffs before being defeated in the semifinals. Todd headed off to Tallahassee for an education. He returned to Cumberland in 1990 and received a Computer Programming Certification from Allegany College. (a.k.a. NationalChamps.net). He later moved on to reside in Pittsburgh, PA for three years while working for the Pittsburgh Pirates Administration. "The baseball strike of 1994 was my last straw." Moved south towards the College Park/Baltimore area and currently resides in Baltimore. NationalChamps.net was founded in 1999.

The old tomahawk came directly off my FSU helmet. I managed to save it in a scrapbook all these years until I could finally scan it in.
